Saltire Roofing & Building Managing Director Steven McIntosh was one of almost 500 riders to cross the finish line of the Tour de Lauder 2019, helping to raise over £35,000 for charity.
Tour de Lauder raises money for the Steve Cully Tribute Fund. Steve, a Lauder resident and keen cyclist, died from a heart attack aged just 42. The fund was set up by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland on his wife Rosie’s wishes, in memory of Steve. So far TdL has raised an incredible £250,000 for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland and other local charities.
Saltire Roofing and Building has been the proud headline sponsor of the event for many years.
Managing Director Steven McIntosh said:
“The Tour de Lauder has become a huge event for the Borders and it’s fantastic that it’s continuing to raise so much money for such a good cause. As a company, we recognise the importance of giving something back to the local communities we build in, and our charity work is a key part of this. The team at Saltire Roofing and Building is looking forward to being involved in the Tour de Lauder again next year.”
