Saltire Roofing & Building has donated a massive £1,000 worth of presents for local underprivileged children this Christmas.
It comes as Cash for Kids face a race against time complete this year’s Mission Christmas appeal.
The charity is working tirelessly to fulfil over 26,500 applications for gifts for children living in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, Falkirk & the Scottish Borders, who will otherwise wake up to nothing on Christmas morning.
Managing Director Steven McIntosh visited Radio Borders Mission HQ in Tweedbank and Radio Forth Mission HQ at The Gyle Shopping Centre to see the operation in action and make a £500 donation to each campaign.
Handing over the cheques, which have already been spent on presents, Steven said:
“Mission Christmas is very close to all our hearts at Saltire Roofing & Building and we’re absolutely delighted to donate £500 worth of gifts to both the Radio Forth and Radio Borders campaigns and this year.
We hope these gifts will bring happiness to lots of children across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, Falkirk & the Scottish Borders so that no child wakes up without a present on Christmas morning.”
Cash for Kids Regional Charity Manager for the East of Scotland, Emma Kemp said:
“Saltire Roofing & Building do a lot to help Cash for Kids with our campaigns throughout the year, and Stevie is always incredibly generous in his donation to Mission Christmas.
£1000 worth of gifts is amazing and will help us to ensure as many children as possible in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, Falkirk & the Scottish Borders wake up to presents on Christmas morning.
