We know that sport can play an important role in a child’s development, which is why Saltire Roofing & Building now subsidise Junior Memberships at Lauder Golf Club.

We will pay the membership fee for any Junior, up to the age of 12, who joins the club with a parent.

Saltire Roofing & Building Managing Director Steven McIntosh said:

“Golf is a sport that I enjoy myself and also with my family.

My daughter Skye is a Junior member at Lauder Golf Club and has had some fantastic opportunities, including playing with Gregor Townsend during his charity challenge to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

I hope that by subsidising Junior memberships at Lauder, it’ll encourage more families to get involved and more children across the Borders will be able to access and enjoy playing golf.”

Our team is very happy to have helped an Edinburgh-based charity get back up and running in their hour of need.

Rowan Alba contacted Saltire Roofing & Building after discovering the water had been shut off at its Fountainbridge Head Office.

The charity, which helps tackle homelessness, was unable to reopen without running water so our team acted quickly to send a plumber, who turned the water supply back on and tested the system free of charge.

Saltire Roofing & Building Operations Manager Alan Davie said:

“As a company, we have put systems and processes in place to allow our operatives to carry out works whilst minimising the risk of spreading COVID19.

We also recognise the hardship charities are facing during this pandemic, so we waived all costs associated with the works carried out, much to the satisfaction of the customer, who was good enough to take the time out to write a really nice letter to show their appreciation.”
